Brinjal Pepper Fry

A simple and easy kid friendly recipe that is served as a side dish.

  • 4 Slices brinjals (Cut each slice into semicircles)
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Egg (beaten)
  • Oil (for shallow fry)


  • 1 In a bowl, add sufficient water, add ½ tsp salt and add brinjals slices. Keep them in salt water for about 15 mins.
  • 2 Mix together, pepper powder, turmeric powder and salt. Drain brinjal slices from water and apply the spice mix.
  • 3 In a skillet, add oil. Dip brinjal slices in egg and then fry the brinjal slices till done.
  • 4 Serve hot.
