Chicken Burgers

A healthy kid friendly Chicken Burger Recipe. Suitable for packing them in your kids lunch boxes.

Ingredients

For Burger patty mixture: -
  • 500 grams Chicken or Turkey mince
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Rice flour (or breadcrumbs)
  • 1 tbsp Mustard paste
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 large Onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 Green chilies (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • Juice of 1 lime
Other Ingredients: -
  • Oil (as required )
  • 8 Burger Breads
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise (see recipe notes below for Homemade mayonnaise recipe link)
  • 4 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper powder
  • Lime Juice (of half lime)
  • 2 cup Lettuce leaves
  • 8 Onion (slices)
  • 8 Cheddar Cheese slices

Instructions

Prepare the Burger Cutlet:-
  • 1 Put all ingredients for patty mixture in a bowl.
  • 2 Mix well till you have a nice mixture. Just pulse it in mixer grinder for few seconds till the mixture nicely mixes well together. Divide mixture into 8 portions.
  • 3 Apply some oil to your palms and using mixture shape burger cutlets, (the size of your burger bread). Shallow fry them in a skillet.
Assemble Burgers:-
  • 4 Mix mayonnaise, pepper powder, tomato ketchup and lemon juice in a small bowl.
  • 5 Apply a tbsp. each of mayonnaise mixture to each side of burger bread. Place lettuce leaves on bottom part of bread. Place burger patty.
  • 6 Then the cheese slice, topped with onion slice.
  • 7 Enjoy!!!

  2. After preparing the burger mixture, form patty and then you can put them in a container and freeze them. Thaw for 15 minutes, then shallow fry them.
