Chicken Pasta in Pesto Sauce

Pasta in pesto sauce is a great change from the regular red pasta sauce. Very much kid friendly recipe.

  • 2 Servings Rotini tricolor pasta
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 Chicken breast (Cut into desired pieces)
  • 1 tsp freshly ground Pepper
  • 1/2 cup Mixed Veggies (of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup Pesto Sauce (I used the ready Basil Pesto sauce, see recipe notes below)


  • 1 Cook rotini pasta as per the instructions on the package. Keep cooked pasta aside. (Do not overcook the pasta).
  • 2 In a skillet, add oil. Fry the chicken pieces with pepper powder.
  • 3 Add the veggies, cook them.
  • 4 Add the pesto sauce. Put the flame off. (Do not cook the pesto sauce).
  • 5 Mix well.
  • 6 Serve! Enjoy!!!

Recipe Notes

Recipe for Pesto Sauce:- Pesto sauce is a simple sauce that requires no cooking.

  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 2/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan  cheese
  • METHOD:-
  • Add all ingredients (except cheese) in a blender and blend till smooth. Add in the cheese and pulse for few seconds.
