Fish Pops

An easy to make , kid friendly fish recipe for those kids who are fussy about eating fish. Made with fish, potatoes and spice powders.

Ingredients

For the Fish Pop Mixture:-
  • 2 fillets Fish (boil the fish with salt and pepper and debone it)
  • 1 large Potato (Boiled, cleaned and mashed)
  • 1 small Onion (Sliced and boiled along with the fish,then chop it)
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp red chili powder (optional, I added to the dish)
  • 1/4 tsp Coriander powder
  • 2 tbsp Cornflour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 1 Egg
  • Oil (for deep frying)
For the Crumb Coating Mix:-
  • 1 slice Bread (Grind in mixer grinder till fine crumbs)
  • 2 tbsp Rice flour
  • Pinch Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Dry parsley

Instructions

  • 1 Mix all ingredients under 'for the crumb coating mix' in a plate and keep aside.
  • 2 Add all ingredients under ' For the Fish Pop Mixture ' (except oil that will be used for deep frying). Mix well. (Mixture will be a bit sticky. refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes.
  • 3 Make 12-15 balls of the mixture and roll them in bread crumb mixture.
  • 4 Deep fry in oil till golden brown.
  • 5 Drain on paper absorbent towel.
  • 6 Serve warm with ketchup (optional). Enjoy !!!
