Frog legs, also known as Jumping Chicken are a delicacy. The Goan version is either cooked as a Soup, Chilly Fry, Thick curry (Mostly Xacuti) or simply Shallow fried with turmeric, chili powder and vinegar.
On seeing these Frog Legs at the Asian store here in the US, I couldn’t but help pick them up and serve up this lovely dish!
NOTE: Frog meat is being currently banned in India because of the decrease in population due to over hunting. Hence, frog dishes are no longer available on Goan Plates in Goa.
