Orange Marmalade Cake

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Butter (unsalted)
  • 1/2 cup Light brown sugar
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Orange Juice
  • 1 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 cup Orange Marmalade

Instructions

  • 1 Beat the butter and sugar together until nice and fluffy.
  • 2 Add in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • 3 Mix in the marmalade.
  • 4 Sift in the flour along with the baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • 5 Add the orange juice. Mix well.
  • 6 Cake batter is ready. Preheat the oven at 180 deg C (350 deg F).
  • 7 Pour the batter in a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  • 8 Bake for 45 minutes until a skewer or toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • 9 Let the cake cool completely before slicing it. Cut into slices.
  • 10 Serve and enjoy this marmalade cake at tea time.
