Ingredients

For the Chutney:-
  • 1/4 cup Peanuts (roasted)
  • 1/4 cup Chana dal (Bengal split gram, roasted)
  • 15 Curry leaves (roasted)
  • 1/2 tbsp Sesame seeds (roasted)
  • 1/2 inch Ginger Piece (roughly chopped)
  • 1 Green Chilli (roughly chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • Tamarind (one small marble sized ball)
For the Tadka (Seasoning):-
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 Kashmiri red chili
  • 3 Curry leaves

Instructions

  • 1 Keep ingredients ready.
  • 2 Grind all the ingredients dry in a mixer grinder till a coarse powder is formed.
  • 3 Now grind again with sufficient water to form a thin paste.
  • 4 Make the tadka. Heat oil in a small skillet, add mustard seeds, and allow them to splutter. Add the Red chili and the curry leaves. Pour this hot tadka over the chutney. Serve with idlis, wada or as desired. Serve chutney as condiment along with dosas, vadas, uttapam…
