Rava Coconut Ladoos

This is a popular ladoo prepared almost in every household for all occasions and festivals. It is a simple and easy recipe but still exotic. This Laddu is prepared on Ganesh Chaturthi / Diwali and other festivals . This recipe makes use of rava along with coconut to prepare the ladoos. Very simple and easy recipe .

  • 2 cup Rava (fine semolina)
  • 5 tbsp Ghee (clarified butter)
  • 2/3 cup Desiccated coconut
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 3 tbsp Nuts (chopped )
  • Milk (As required)
  • 1/4 cup sugar (Powdered)


  • 1 In a pan lightly roast rava in 1 tbsp ghee on low flame. Do not brown the rava. Then add the coconut. Roast for 2 mins.
  • 2 Then add the coconut. Roast for 2 mins.
  • 3 Add sugar, nuts and cardamom powder. Roast for 2 mins.
  • 4 Add remaining 4 tbsp ghee. Remove from flame.
  • 5 Remove this mixture in a bowl and add milk as required (start adding 2 tbsp milk and keep adding milk little by little) so as to form the ladoos. Form 20 ladoos.
  • 6 Roll in desiccated coconut.
  • 7 Let them dry at room temperature for a day. Store in air tight container. Enjoy !!!

Recipe Notes

  1. Can store for a week at room temperature.
  2.  Refrigerate it for up to a month.
