Recheado Mackerels

Recheado masala is used to flavor fresh seafood such as mackerels and prawns hence recheado mackerels. Enjoy it with Goan Rice and Curry.

Ingredients

  • 6 Mackerel Fish
  • 6 tbsp Goan recheado masala (See Recipe notes below for recipe link)
  • 1 medium sized Onion (finely chopped)
  • Salt (as required)
  • 6 tbsp Rava (fine semolina, optional)
  • Oil (to shallow fry)

Instructions

  • 1 Clean the mackerel fish, make slits on both sides of mackerels to stuff the recheado masala. Apply salt to fish and keep aside. Prepare the recheado masala as per the recipe.
  • 2 Add chopped onion in the masala. Stuff this masala in both the sides of the mackerels. Apply rava on both sides of fish. (Rava is optional).
  • 3 Shallow fry the mackerels on both sides till done.
  • 4 Enjoy with rice and curry. (See Recipe notes below).
