Serradura

Serradura means sawdust in Portuguese. This is a very simple dessert that doesn't require cooking or baking. Its a simple layered dessert with whipped cream and crumbled biscuits.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 6 Marie or Digestive Biscuits
  • Chocolate shavings (optional, for decorations)

Instructions

  • 1 Crush the biscuits in a blender.
  • 2 Crush till a fine powder is formed. Keep aside.
  • 3 Pour heavy whip cream in a bowl.
  • 4 Whip the cream till it forms stiff peaks. Gently fold in the condensed milk.
  • 5 In glass serving bowls, put a layer of biscuit powder, press gently.
  • 6 Top with a layer of whip cream.
  • 7 Then continue with biscuit and cream layer. The topmost layer should be the cream layer.
  • 8 Sprinkle top of cream with biscuit powder.
  • 9 Decorate with chocolate shavings. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Enjoy!
  • 10 Serve chilled! Enjoy!!!
