Ingredients

  • 1 large Onion (roughly chopped)
  • 1/3 cup Cashewnuts
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Coriander seeds
  • 3 Dry red Kashmiri chilies
  • 4 tbsp Oil
  • 3 Green Cardomom
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 2 Green chilies (finely chopped)
  • 4 tbsp Curd, yoghurt
  • 4 tbsp Heavy milk cream
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 200 grams Paneer (cubed)
  • 1 tbsp Almonds (sliced for garnishing)

Instructions

  • 1 Boil the onion and cashewnut till onion turns soft.
  • 2 Grind the onion and cashew nut in mixer grinder to form a smooth paste.
  • 3 Dry roast the coriander seeds and red chilies.
  • 4 Grind them dry in a mixer grinder to form a spice powder.
  • 5 In a pan, add oil, cardamom and bay leaf, fry till you get a nice aroma from them.
  • 6 Add the onion cashewnut paste and fry for 10 minutes.
  • 7 Add the green chilies and cook for 2 minutes.
  • 8 Mix in the spice powder, curd, salt and milk cream. Cook for further 10 minutes.
  • 9 Add the paneer cubes, 1/2 cup water and cook for 5 minutes.
  • 10 Garnish with sliced almonds. Serve hot with parathas.
