Strawberry Jam

Fast and easy recipe for strawberry jam without using preservatives. It's delicious, and loved by all,

  • 500 grams Fresh Strawberries
  • 1/2 Lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup Granulated white sugar


  • 1 Wash the strawberries and wipe them.
  • 2 Roughly chop the strawberries.
  • 3 In a blender, make a puree of the strawberries. I got 2 cups puree. Add lemon juice to it.
  • 4 Keep on medium flame and let cook for 15 minutes.
  • 5 After 15 minutes, add sugar.
  • 6 The jam still drips off the wooden spatula. So the jam isn't ready as yet.
  • 7 In about next 5 minutes , jam starts to thicken
  • 8 Almost getting there.
  • 9 In another 5 minutes strawberry jam is ready. Store the jam in a glass jar. Use it within one week at room temperature as there are no preservatives added to the jam or refrigerate it for a longer period of time.
  • 10 Use jam on your toast or use it as a topping for ice creams or cakes.
  • 11 Use this jam to prepare jam heart shaped cookies. (See recipe notes below).
