Veg Burger Style Sandwich

Veg cutlets or tikkis are formed and sandwiched in bread with ketchup, chutney and veggies. This is a great recipe for kids tiffin.

Ingredients

  • Beetroot Cutlet Mixture (See Recipe Notes below for Recipe link)
  • Oil (to shallow fry)
  • 12 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
  • 12 tbsp Coconut coriander chutney (as required, See Recipe Notes below for Recipe link)
  • Tomato slices (as required)
  • Onion Slices (as required)
  • 24 Sliced Breads

Instructions

  • 1 Put all ingredients in a bowl (besides oil, ketchup, chutney, tomato and onion slices.) (See Recipe Notes below for Recipe link)
  • 2 Mix well. Form cutlet mixture.
  • 3 Cut Bread slices into round shape using a cookie cutter. (Or any desired shape)
  • 4 Form round cutlets using the mixture, enough to fit inside the bread. Coat them in breadcrumbs.
  • 5 Shallow fry the cutlet.
  • 6 Apply one tablespoon tomato ketchup on one slice and one tablespoon green chutney on the other slice. (See Recipe notes below)
  • 7 Arrange tomato slices on chutney side and onion slices on ketchup side.
  • 8 Place cutlet as shown.
  • 9 Club the sandwich together with both slices. Enjoy!!!
