Wash , pat dry and cut the top and bottom edges of the okras. Mix all the ingredients under 'For the Masala Stuffing' together. |

Make slits vertically along the okras. Lightly stuff in the prepared masala powder mixture in the slits of okra. Cut each okra into 3 pieces. |

In a pan, add oil. Crush the carom seeds between palms of your hands(so that the aroma of carom seeds can be released). Add them to the oil along with turmeric powder. |

After few seconds, add the stuffed okras. Sprinkle some salt as required. |

Fry them turning continuously on all sides till done. |

Serve them along with a simple dal (as the okras will be spicy) and chapatis. (See recipe notes below for dal recipe). |
