Preparation of caramel:- |

In a small skillet, add sugar and water.
Cook over medium-high, swirling occasionally, until caramel begins to turn amber, 6 to 8 minutes.

Pour caramel quickly into the custard mold. Keep it aside. |

Preparation of Milk & Egg Mixture:- |

Preheat oven at 180 deg C (350 deg F)
In a whisking bowl, add the eggs and vanilla extract. Beat the eggs well.

Add the condensed milk. Beat well again. |
|
5 |
Mix in the milk. Strain the mixture (for any egg residue). |

Pour the prepared egg and milk mixture into the caramel mold. |
|
7 |
Place the mold in water bath and bake it for 35-40 mins. |

8 |
Cool completely at room temperature. Chill it in refrigerator for about 2 hours or overnight. |

9 |
Unmold the pudding. |
|
10 |
Serve! Enjoy !!! |

Xanti .. I made Caramel Custard for New year Eve, my friends liked it a lot.
But the caramel part it did not turn brown as in your picture. I used Granulated white sugar as suggested .However we all liked it a lot, Thanks for simple and delicious recipe . Thanks a lot

Next time try to keep the sugar a little more longer on flame till it turns to a very dark color.

Use any aluminum (atleast 2 inches in height tall) molds..its shld work fine:)

If it’s done in pressure cooker it’s only used to steam it … (not cooked with the whistle )
Remove the whistle and keep aside …
Cook in steam for about 45 mins on medium low flame
