Keep ingredients ready. |

Grind the masala (all ingredients mentioned under 'For the Masala') with sufficient water to form a smooth fine paste. |

Clean the crabs. (See recipe notes below for link on How To Clean Crabs). |

In a skillet/ vessel , add oil. Fry onions till soft. |

Add the masala . Mix well. |

Fry the masala for 5 minutes. |

Add the crabs. Mix well. |

Add 1/2 cup water. |
 |

Mix well. Add salt as per taste. |

Cover and cook for 10-12 minutes. (You can thicken the masala further if you wish to ). |

Your crab dish is now ready. |

Don’t use too dry coconut … use freshly grated coconut or frozen fresh coconut .
