Apply ½ tsp salt to fish pieces and leave aside for about 15 mins.
Grind all ingredients under ‘curry masala paste’ using sufficient water to form a smooth paste. Keep aside.

Next, Grind all ingredients under ‘Masala Coconut Milk’ using sufficient water and strain thick milk from it.
Grind the coconut that has been strained again with some water and extract thin milk from it. Keep them aside.

Now you will have Curry masala paste, thick and thin coconut masala milk. |

In a vessel, add oil. Fry the onion till soft, add the curry masala paste along with 1 tsp salt. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes. |

Now, add the fish and mango pieces. Fry for a minute. |

Pour in the thick and thin coconut milk. |
|

Mix well.(Just shake the vessel, don't use the ladle spoon) |

Cover vessel with lid and cook for about 10 minutes till fish and mango are cooked. |

Serve with hot steamed rice and vegetable. |

I hesitate to make fish or prawn curry because they dont turn out well…like my mums. But last week I tried out your receipe and made the fish & mango curry. For the first time, it turned out perfectly just like my Mum’s. I was so happy with the result. I still have a little leftover..it will make a good breakfast 🙂

Hi Xanti can i use dry mango instead of raw mango. What quantity shud i use dry mango??
