1 | Wash the dal and soak for 15 minutes. | |
2 | In a pressure cooker, add 2 cups water along with turmeric powder and salt. Cook on high flame for 3 whistles. Remove from flame. | |
3 | In a pan, add oil and fry onions till soft. Add the sausages and fry for 2-3 minutes. Then cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes. | |
4 | Add the dal, mix well. | |
5 | Cook on low for another 10 minutes. Add the coriander. | |
6 | Serve hot with rice or chapatis or Goan pao (see recipe notes below for Goan pao recipe). |
