In a glass bowl, add egg, vinegar, salt, sugar and mustard powder or paste. |

Using an electric beater whip it up till well mixed. (about half a minute). |

Keeping beater ON, keep beating the mixture while adding oil side by side in a stream (very slowly). This is how it will look once you are done with ½ cup of Oil. |

Continue beating and adding the remaining ½ cup oil till the mixture thickens. Add pepper powder and whip again for half a minute. Done! |

Store Mayonnaise in a glass jar. Refrigerate it and use it within 3-4 days of preparation. |
