Grind all the ingredients of the masala and keep the paste aside. |

In a pan, add oil. Add mustard seeds, allow them to splutter. Add curry leaves and green chili. Fry for a minute. |

Fry onion till soft. Add the masala paste. Stir fry for 2-3 mins. Add Salt. |

Toss in the potatoes. Cook for 3 mins. Add 1 cup water. Cover pan with lid and cook till potatoes are done.(See Recipe Notes) |

Finally add the prawns. |

Cook for next 3 mins till done and the curry slightly thickens. (See Recipe Notes) |

Serve with steamed rice. |

Hi Xanti, wanted to know instead of fresh grated coconut could we use ready made coconut milk? How much of coconut milk is needed for this quantity? And when do we put the coconut milk? Thanks, Due

But use it almost in the end and simmer for 1 minute
