1 | Mix jaggery and coconut together and keep aside. | |
2 | In another bowl, mix in the flour with salt, banana and egg. | |
3 | Mix the jaggery mixture in banana flour mixture. | |
4 | Add milk or water little at a time and keep stirring the mixture making sure it form a thick pancake kind of batter. | |
5 | Heat and grease a pan with ghee and pour a spoonful batter forming small pancakes. | |
6 | Check to see the edges of filoz start to turn brown. | |
7 | Flip other side. | |
8 | Enjoy at tea time! |

Thanks I just made some banana Filoz but had hard time breaking the Palm jaggery as it was hard like a rock, how did you manage?

Put jaggery in a cloth or bag and bang it with chapati roller or meat tenderizer / pounder … just bang till small pieces …
But the Goan palm jaggery should is not so hard like rock …

hi shanti..i made banana filos today followed ur recepie.. for taste it was really gd ..but i used palm jaggery n my filos became blacK colour (not burnt)..how did yours bcum brown in colour. did.i hv to put sugar / brown jaggery instead of palm jaggery..where did i go wrong.

Yes I too have used goan palm jaggery
Once you mix in flour batter the batter tends to be light brown in color not a black color
