Goan Prawn Pie

This classic pie is a comfort dish that is sure to go down well with your family. An ideal pie for parties. Prawn pie, in a flash, will make everyone happy at the dinner table, try it tonight!

  • 400 grams Slice bread (one loaf of slice bread)
  • 600 ml Coconut Milk (Milk of one coconut)
  • 5 Eggs (well beaten)
  • 2 tbsp Breadcrumbs (Plain)
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 Potion Prawn Chili fry (See Recipe Notes below for Prawn Chilly Fry Recipe )


  • 1 Trim sides of slice bread. Crumble the bread into pieces and add the coconut milk, soak it for about 15 minutes. Prepare the prawn chilly fry.
  • 2 In the bread mixture, add the beaten eggs. Mix well. Preheat oven at 200 deg C (392 deg F) .Grease the baking pan. Pour half of bread mixture in pan.
  • 3 Top this mixture with the prawn chilly fry.
  • 4 Add the remaining bread mixture over chily fry. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs over and drop bits of butter over it.
  • 5 Bake it for 45 mins.
  • 6 Once baked, cool slightly before cutting it.
  • 7 Serve warm. Enjoy!!!

Recipe Notes

  1. Can use milk instead of coconut milk, but coconut milk makes the pie more richer and tastier.
