Masala Rava Fried Prawns/Shrimps

A quick and simple prawn masala fried recipe. Perfect to have as an appetizer or as a side with Goan Curry and rice.

  • 30 medium sized Prawns/ shrimps
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp White Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Rava (fine semolina, as required)
  • Oil (for shallow fry)


  • 1 Marinate prawns with salt, turmeric, chili powder and vinegar. Leave aside for 15 minutes.
  • 2 Coat prawns with rava. Shallow fry them in a skillet.
  • 3 Serve as an appetizer along with lemon slice and some salad OR as a side with Goan curry and rice. (See recipe notes below for Goan Curry Recipe link).
