Tartar Sauce

This is a simple recipe for tartar sauce for deep fried seafood. It can be used immediately or stored in refrigerator for up to 4 days.

  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise (see Recipe notes below for Homemade Mayonnaise recipe link)
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Pickle Relish
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper powder
  • Pinch Salt (or as per taste)
  • 2 tbsp Onion (finely chopped, optional)


  • 1 In a small bowl, add all the ingredients. Mix well. Use immediately or refrigerate and use a required. (Within 4 days).
  • 2 Serve tartar sauce with deep fried fish or any fried seafood. (See recipe notes below for recipe link).
