Heat oil in a vessel, fry onions till golden brown. |

Add the mutton pieces and tomatoes. Fry for about 5 minutes. |

Add the red chili powder and turmeric powder. Add 2 cups water. Let it come to a boil on HIGH flame and then cover vessel with lid and lower flame to MEDIUM LOW. |

Cook till mutton is tender (about 30 minutes or more). Add curds.
Add the garam masala powder. Cook for another 5 minutes.

Add the green chilies and coriander. |

Add Kasuri meethi(crush between your palms and then add). |

Cook for another 5-10 minutes till gravy is semi dry. |

Serve bhuna mutton with rotis, naan or paratha. (see recipe notes below). |
