The fav is just put in hot water for few mins n water risnsed
The coconut n jaggery is simply mixed with hand
Hi Valrei
Recipe seems to be the same, except that I have added salt and cardamom for flavor which we do add in Goa. Well, I have melted jaggery too so as to ensure that the coconut is well mixed with it and an easier process. π Thanks for sharing your view, appreciate that π
Coconut water should also be added to fov so that helps puff it up…
Thanks Satish for this information. Never come across adding of coconut water to fov, will give it a try next time. Thnaks for sharing:)
Thank you..
Your most welcome Satish π
Hi!
Can I let the Fov puff up in cold water? And for how long? π
Hi Isabelle
Yes you can, but just rinse the fov and drain the water and let them puff(don’t soak them completely in water to puff up). I about 15 minutes they should puff up(do a check and see, taste and see if you find it hard or if still raw).
Xanti, don’t we have to cook the fov?
Hi Ann
No , we donβt have to cook them as they are soaked already. (Cooking not required )
Very very tasty π relished it
Hi Xanti
I tried ur recipe for the 1st time.. usually wud do it the short cut, u know like just washing the fov and then add coconut and jaggery… obviously it would not coat well and some fov wud be slightly hard or dry so to say…But 2day, i used ur technique and it turned out brilliant… I am so happy with the outcome.. thank u for ur simple and amazing recipes… Kudos 2 u…
