Mix all ingredients under ‘marinade’. |

Use 2 tbsp or little more water if required to make a thick batter. |

Deep fry or shallow fry the chicken. Drain on absorbent paper towels. |

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, vinegar, Orange juice, water, sugar, orange zest and cornflour. Keep aside. |

In a skillet, add 2 tbsp oil, fry the ginger, garlic and chili flakes for a minute. |

Add the orange juice mixture and stir continuously till it forms a thick gravy. |

Add the fried chicken pieces and cook for another 2 minutes. |

Serve hot with fried rice or noodles. (See Recipe Notes below). |
