Reachado Stuffed Pomfret Fish

This recipe involves stuffing the fish with the popular Goan recheado Masala and then fried. Enjoy it along with a salad or Goan curry and rice.

Ingredients

  • 2 Pomfret fish (Silver pomfret)
  • 6 tbsp Recheado masala (See recipes notes below for reachado masala recipe)
  • 4 tbsp Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp Salt (or as required)
  • Oil (for shallow fry)

Instructions

  • 1 Mix masala and the onions.
  • 2 Clean fish, slit on both sides, apply salt and keep aside (See next picture to see how it is to be slit)
  • 3 Stuff in the masala and onion mixture in the slit.
  • 4 Stuff masala on both the sides in the slits.
  • 5 Heat Oil in a skillet. Fry the fish till done.
  • 6 Serve with salad or with Goan fish curry and rice. (See recipe notes below)
