Hi marian

Hi Yvette
You ca try baking them , I have not tried ../
But the best it to deep fry them
I tried this recipe out a few weeks ago. First time, the dough did not turn out well. But I tried again and got it to the consistency mentioned. Was a hit! Kids loved it. Will be making it again tomorrow.

Your most welcome Malita .😊do try again and practice will make you perfect them
Chef For the outer layer, the ratio of milk n flour should be equal?? Is there any problem if i use panko crumbs instead of bread crumbs?
Hi jeston
It’s 1 cup flour and 2 cups milk .
They won’t be any problem if you use Panko 😊
(BTW I’m not a chef 😜… cooking is my passion 😀)
I tried this recipe. It was very nice. But the only problem I faced while rolling it was breaking..
Hi Sabrina
The dough is impossible to break , probably your dough was too dry ??
Hi Xanti,
I finally got down to trying the recipe for the resois. I used to keep reading it but never got down to making it. I had a few questions with regards to the outer cover the filling came out great.
The outer cover dough was pretty oily. Also wanted to know that when u roll out the pastry do u use more flour how v do for a chapati?
Also when I was making the resois the after closing when putting the filling at times it would break any idea y?
Last one is I dipped mine in Rawa not breadcrumbs and when I fried them the outer counting was a little hard as compared to resois I normally eat. Is it k?
Thanks in advance for ur replies.
Hi Althea
Just follow the exact recipe with correct measures , it should work fine … you can dust surface with little flour while rolling , not too much …
Hi Xanti,
Your recipes are amazing and so simple to follow. I love them!!! I’ve tried many of your other recipes and the outcome have been excellent. My family loves them! Thanks for creating such easy, simple to follow recipes.
I had a question regarding the outer cover prep for Rissóis de Camarão, do I have to bring the milk to a boil with salt, sugar and butter and then add all-purpose flour to it?
Many thanks for your help 🙂
Thanks luzen for trying my recipes and sharing your feedback 😊glad that your family enjoys the same .

Hi Xanti, quick question
APF used is 2tbsp (stuffing) + 1 cup (outercover)?
Yes
Thank you, they turned out amazing! Brought back great memories from when I was younger. The outer dough is really hard to make and work with… But well worth it, it was delicious even before frying it up 😀
Thanks for sharing your feedback 😊
All the recipes i have tried have turned out great. You should print your own cookbook. Would be happy to buy one.
Hi chinmay
All my recipes are on the website , there is a print feature for each recipe page.
How do I make this with chicken? I can’t find the recipe and I’d really love to make it.
Replace shrimps with boiled shredded chicken
Hi. I tried out this recipe and it was very tasty 🙂
the only problem i had was with the outer dough. It became a bit sticky (i added the flour to the boiling milk and then started mixing it). Could you let me know if that was wrong? Is the flour to be added to the milk and left untouched for 3 minutes?
Thank you 🙂
Add flour to boiling milk and keep stirring
Hi Xanti,
I’ve just come across your blog and its awesome!! I’m definitely going to try most of the recipes… First is going to be Prawn Rissois 😍😍
Just a suggestion- the recipe ingredients with measurements at the start differ from the actual measurements mentioned later. FOR EG,- for the outer covering earlier its mentioned 2 cups milk whereas later 1and a 1/2 cup of milk is used (1/2 is used in the stuffing).. this is confusing.. correct me if I’ve noticed it wrong.. nonetheless waiting to try all your wonderful recipes.. lots of love ..
Shraddha
Hi shraddha
Yes in step 3 (1/2 cup Milk used for stuffing )
Step 5 says (use remaining 1 and 1/2 cups to make dough )
Yes , I’ll make the changes in ingredients list … thanks for bringing it to my notice 😊
Hi Xanti,
Your recipes are simple and to the point. Tried this two times and have come out good.. just the way i like them.
I add a lil extra flour while kneading as its sticky. I get about 45-50 pieces.
A small feedback on the ingredients list for the stuffing… the 2 tablespoon flour is not mentioned in the list.
Thanks Debbie for your feedback
Yes , I just made the changes to the ingredients list.. thanks for getting it to my notice 😊
Hi dear I want to try this recipe. Could you please tell me how much ml is one cup of milk you used..
HI Judy
