Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

Strawberries + Chocolate=LOVE. This easy chocolate-covered strawberries recipe is a perfect gift for your loved one or yourself on Valentine's Day. Say, “I love you” with a little fancy and whole lot of decadent!

  • 12 Fresh Strawberries
  • 150 grams Milk or dark chocolate
  • 50 grams White Chocolate
  • 1 tbsp Shortening (I used Coconut oil)


  • 1 Wash and drain the strawberries then dry each one individually, and set it aside to be dipped.
  • 2 Melt the dark or milk chocolate and shortening in the microwave according to package instructions. Or, put them in a microwave safe dish and microwave for one minutes. Stir, and heat in 15 second intervals, stirring after each, until melted and smooth.
  • 3 Line a baking sheet with waxed paper or parchment paper. Insert a toothpick at the top of a strawberry and dip it in the chocolate. Roll it around so that the chocolate covers most of the strawberry.
  • 4 Roll it around so that the chocolate covers most of the strawberry. Allow the chocolate to drip off.
  • 5 Then place is on the lined baking sheet. Repeat with all the strawberries. Allow chocolate to set for 5 minutes.
  • 6 Microwave the white chocolate and put it in a plastic bag or small zip lock bag. Make a small hole at one tip of the bag.
  • 7 Drizzle white chocolate to form the patterns.
  • 8 Allow white chocolate to set for 5 minutes.
  • 9 Enjoy !!!
