Xanti, please do me a favour, just see if there is any telephone number on the puff pastry sheet, I am desperately looking out for one, in mumbai cannot get, you get the dough from the bakery in mumbai, and you have to roll and make. If I get the number I can tell someone to pick up for me where it is closest available. you can reply on my whatsup number 9158045223,
hi Saira, I’m not sure about getting the same in Mumbai as we not in Mumbai/India.
Where can I get pastry sheets in goa,?
I guess is difficult to get them in goa … I make mine from scratch … there’s a video in the recipe notes In my prawn pattice recipe page
Hi Xanti,
I tried making these pattice using the ready made puff pastry the only problem that I faced when I used the puff pastry was it did not puff well as shown in your picture. Also after an hour or so it turned out soggy. Any suggestions on improvising.
Hi Chrisa
I don’t think it could be the puff pastry, probably your filling was a little too wet? Just make sure to keep the filling dry and slightly moist. I make my own puff pastry at home 🙂 , check the prawn pattice recipe. This recipe was done with readymade ones, just to show how it can be used.
Hi Shanti
I tried this puff pastry your style also the way Butter block is made and rolled out several times and also rolling and applying Butter to every layer. But still cannot get the crispy style like yours.
Can you teach me personally.
Where are you in Goa , can I get your contact details. Thanks
Hi silvana
I’m based in The US
Hi silvana
Puff pastry needs some practice , you may not get it right on one go … do give it a try again …
Thanks Shanti. Infact I keep trying different methods, yeah I will try your method too in a day or two and will keep you updated.
Thanks a lot God Bless You.
Thanks Silvana 😊
